Successfully conducted a demonstration on improved ๐๐จ๐ญ๐๐ญ๐จ ๐๐๐๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐๐๐ก๐ง๐จ๐ฅ๐จ๐ ๐ฒ for 55 farmers of Shemagangkha Chewog, Chapcha Gewog under Chhukha Dzongkhag, in collaboration with Dzongkhag Agriculture Sector and Potato Program.This demonstration was carried out as an outcome of the Stakeholdersโ Consultation Meeting for the value chain under the ๐๐๐ ๐๐จ๐๐ฌ ๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐.
Farmers responded positively and showed strong interest in attaching the seeder to existing mini-tillers used by around 50 farmers, along with a strong demand for a potato harvester/digger. With 99% of households depending on potato cultivation and currently using no mechanized tools, the need and feasibility for such technologies are very high.

โข The team requested Dzongkha Agriculture Sector to submit a request to the Government to prioritize a potato harvester/digger and seeder technology, considering the high usage of existing machines in the gewog.
โข AMTC shall provide technical support and design to any private firm interested in commercializing this technology, as AMTC does not engage in commercial activities.
